Paar valley walking path
From Aichach railway-station down the river to “Gut Schenkenau” near Hohenwart the Paar valley walking path takes a course on a length of 36,8 km through the tertiary hill country. Along the way there are a lot of information-boards, which graphically show the variety of the living-space of the Paar valley.
From the Paar valley walking path you can also make some excursions to sights at the margin of the valley and to other bicycle-walking paths.
Sisi-Tour in the Wittelsbacher country
From the roots of the Bavarian sovereign family to duke Max’s hunting castle, this cycle path gives the visitor an epitome of Bavarian history. The watercastle in Unterwittelsbach in which duke Max and his family lived, and where also Sisi, the later empress of Austria, spent many days of her childhood, has great historical significance. |
