After visiting some forest-adventure-paths in other towns/communities, it was decided that a forest-adventure-path should be created in Aichach, too.
The purpose for this forest-adventure-path was to introduce visitors to the variety of local forests.
Especially due to the fact that the “Grubet”-house was already a popular destination for visitors from other regions, it appeared only sensible to build up this forest-adventure-path within the adjoining Grubet-forest.
Once the affected landowners agreed to the establishment of the path and the stations, the town-councillors of Aichach and other public sponsors provided the necessary funds and preparations could be started in mid 1999.
AS an additional attraction, a red-deer reserve could be integrated into the path-route. There already was an estate, which belonged to the town and which was very suitable. The authorities gave their permission for the extension in spring 2000.
After a fence had been erected around the area, the deer could follow in autumn 2000.
The building of the path and sign-posts as well as the equipment of the stations were finished in autumn/winter 2000.
The inauguration and official transfer of ownership took place on the 28th of April 2001.
