Next to the two city towers is the most beautiful and best preserved Tower of the former city wall, the Auer Tower with its gothic crenellation. The Swedish spared it in 1634, so that it retained its original shape until today. The tower was also called Färber-Tower after its former owner Josef Unterbauer, who was a dyer (1805- 1875).
